We provide two training courses for beginners each year, it is a condition of Archery GB (the governing body of archery in Great Britain) that attendance on such a course is required before you can become a member of any archery club.

All archery clubs put safety foremost. It is essential that anyone wishing to learn archery is given tuition in both the art of shooting, and the safety aspects of the sport. The courses we run at Knebworth are fun, but must be taken seriously. Archery isn't dangerous – but it could be.

Numbers on these courses are strictly limited to 25 students per course, this ensures both safety and the quality of the training.

The cost of the four sessions (two afternoons for two weekends usually in early June and early September) is a total of £40. On the last afternoon of the course (the second Sunday) we usually hold a 'fun shoot'.

Course dates for 2010 are 5/6 & 12/13 June and 11/12 & 18/19 September. Places go quickly so do get in touch as soon as possible if you are interested.

** IMPORTANT MESSAGE
FOR MEMBERS **

Please be reminded that you MUST carry your Green Dragon membership card and display your car badge at all times when you visit the shooting field. Knebworth Estates staff will now check these regularly. Also remember that access for archery members is limited to the huts, the shooting field, and the toilets. We do not have open access to the park itself.
